Dear ReWilder,
Deep Experiences in the natural world help us to deeply question our relationship with nature and ourselves. These experiences are often found by opening up our hearts and bodies to the world around us. We are so much more than our cognitive selves. Theses experiences force us to question our reality and our relationship to the more-than-human world. Often what we are left with, is the motivation for a deeper commitment to living in a way that is mindful of other beings; both human and non-human worlds. Living in way that is not separated - but connected.
At the end of the day, when you strip us down of our titles and positions, we too become like the other animals that share this unique and beautiful world we share.
In collaboration with African Bush Camps, ReWild Africa helped to facilitate a deep experience into the Okavango Delta, where we looked a little further than learning about nature, but rather to see how we could learn from nature.
Biomimicry is a tool for us to use to reconnect with nature. The film above showcases the experience that Firm of the Future from the Netherlands had in the Okavango Delta (in January this year), where they explored and learnt from this incredible ecosystem. A question we were exploring was, how can the cities of the future learn from the way in which water flows in the Okavango Delta?
News from ReWild Africa 🐾
We just returned from a trip to Matatiele, Southern Drakensberg to tell the story of Environmental Rural Solutions with WWF and BBC StoryWorks. We explored the story of two exceptional women who founded the organisation 20 years ago, working collaboratively with communities to find solutions to ecological challenges that benefit both people and planet. Watch this space for more!

Have a look at African Bush Camps and all their incredible camps across Southern Africa. Our team will be heading to their latest camp this weekend - Lolebezi, in the Lower Zambezi, Zambia.
